I have two gerbils and need help has wheel problems...?
My two gerbils nibbles and tipper, LOVE their wheel. They always use it but whenever nibbles gets on tipper chases right after and knocks him off. should i buy another wheel or leave it so they learn to share PLEASE help me!!!
Oh that's what my gerbils do. Just let them. It's half the game for my three gerbils. If you don't think Nibbles is getting anytime on the wheel, you could put your had in and just (lightly!) touch/bop Tipper away.
Don't get two wheels (we tried it!) and they wrestle over it. As long as they aren't really hurting each other, its a part of the play. We love watching ours because they flip each other out of the wheel. For the most part, they just do it back at each other.
what works for us quite well is to only put in the wheel at a certain time of the day. We stick it in when we will be around to watch and leave it in for five or more hours. That way they aren't making you crazy with the noise and you don't have to worry about it tipping over or fighting (seriously) over it.
