replaced the half shaft drive axle and constant velocity joint but I still have this noise.?
I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty Sport 4 wheel Drive with a 3.7 liter engine.
When I put it in four wheel drive and at low speed turn right it makes a grinding nose lime geert-gerrt–gerrt and increases or decreased with increased or decreased speed. It does not make this noise when in 2 wheel drive. The noise is coming from the front of the care.
I replaced the half shaft drive axle with constant velocity joint but I still have this noise.
Perhaps you can tell me what might be wrong with the jeep?
It could be the front bearing or possibly the internals of the front differential but going on the noise i'd check the wheel hub/bearing first. The other possibility would be the front drive shaft that goes from the transfer case to your front diff. But that should make noise all the time in 4x4 mode.
