15 year Navy man PFA Failures?
I have been in the navy for 15 years, I have done several combat tours as a aircrewman in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Bosnia. I have never been to Captains mast (been in trouble) and have always been a good sailor. I have failed my 3rd PFA and was wondering what is going happen next? Do i just get kicked out on the street? I do have a family and this of course will affect them too. I PT and go to Mando when I am not flying but cant seem to get the weight off, I dont know what to do and now I fear its too late. I am aware of the waver and hope I get one. Is there a 15 year retirement I can jump on? Should I go to medical and fake depression or something like that? I blow the physical part out of the water but I am over body fat standards, it actually feels like discrimination. Should I contact a lawyer out in town? Any help would be great...
one scared sailor!
I'm an Army noncom myself, but my boyfriend did 8 years in the navy. we were at a joint command overseas and he failed 1 PFT and the weight, came back and passed both the next week, then passed both the next time 6 months later, then when he passed his PFT but failed tape another six months later they were talking about barring from reenlist and sending him to mast. he said screw it and just got out. then again you have 15 years.
i'd hate to see you lose it all. you've done a remarkable thing to serve for that long. he's lost almost 25 pounds this last year by changing things like: no more white bread, stone ground wheat only, no soda, and only white meats like chicken, pork and turkey: grilled with occasional reds like lean steak.
