How can I make an excel timecard?
Here's the deal...
I'm working a job where I get to choose how many hours I want to work. I want to work 15 hrs/wk. However, my schedule shifts week-to-week and sometimes I'm assigned less (13) or more (18).
The other aspect of my job is that I can choose to add 1hr shifts at will if someone wants to substitute or if nobody wants a shift.
So... I want to do my own accounting so I can try to get my 15 hours every week.
Can somebody give me some advice as to how I can make the time card in excel? It's Ok if there are multiple sheets.
A timesheet is just a series of time ins versus time outs. If you tract them in long time then (TO-TI)*24 = segment of time you worked. Add up those segments and you have your work week in decimal time. It you get paid bi-weekly, then you do it for 2 weeks.
It's not that difficult of concept once you grasp that EXCEL time is just a fractional number.
