i was injured on duty, and off for 7 weeks, can I claim compensation?

I am a coach driver and trapped a nerve in my neck because I was sent out to do a duty in a coach that they knew was defective, but I was unaware of it. Once I informed them of the injury they called me back to the depot and took me off to hospital. I was then booked off basically one week at a time, I managed to get the company to pay for 8 physio sessions, but in the mean time I have been unable to do much due to the nature of the injury. I am still taking painkillers and anti depressants ( to help me sleep), and am fairly concerned about how long it will take me to get the full use of my left arm back. I am aslo concerned whether I will be covered if during the course of duty or not I hurt it again and am back at square 1. I return to duty on 8th Jan. 2007, but will be restricted to driving city busses where I will not need to help with luggage, but might need to assist the disabled with setting down a manual ramp and pushing the wheelchair into and out of the bus

you need to speak firstly to your doctor and confirm you are fit for work
if you want to claim then contact a specialist solicitor and dicuss your case with them. this is usually free and then they may accept your case on a no win no fee basis
