What units do glucose test strips measure glucose concentration in for biology labs?

I did a biology lab the other day, testing the permeability of glucose through a membrane. We had to test the solutions on both sides of the membrane to prove that there were equal concentrations, but I forgot to record the units with my results. Are they in milligrams? Or does it depend on what kind of test strips you use?
