When's does racial pride cross the line?

I'm all for being proud of race and everything but it becomes annoying some people of a particular race are always talking about how their race did this and did that and invented this. Don't get me wrong I'm proud to be my race but I'm not going to go through my whole ethnicities history. Does anyone else find this annoying? Maybe I'm looking too deep into the issue.
