POLL: Was my father crazy?
I recall my father, just before he died...he would watch the news and if a story came on...that was alarming...he would shake out of his recliner...and melt onto the floor, as if completely overtaken with utter fright.
Some huge BREAKING NEWS stories, he would shake onto the floor, and even tend toward the wall in his TERROR TREMORS.
If he sees the Swine Flu stories in Heaven, now...I am certain he is vibrating along the marble or golden floors even now.
He told me that the news media was the biggest farce ever concocted. That if every story weren't IMPORTANT BEYOND WORDS...that people would cease to watch it, or purchase newspapers.
Was he crazy?
Isn't the Swine Flu the most terrifying, threatening thing ever, since the world began?
In Oregon, a student sneezed, and 6 schools were closed for a week. Amazing.
Dad would have been banging the wall.
He taught me to ignore the news. Was he wrong?
